Would you like to get involved and see behind-the-scenes at the Open Concept Gallery? Consider becoming a volunteer. Volunteers come from all walks of life and range from students to retirees. Help introduce new people to our programming, host special events, and raise funds to support family and children’s programs. All you need is your interest and enthusiasm!
Education Program Volunteers
Help bring out the art enthusiasm in young people, families, and adults. College students, high school students, and community members (ages 16 and older) are invited to assist with varied arts-related education programs throughout the year. Volunteers welcome guests, work with hands-on projects, and participate in set-up before and tear-down after events. This is a very flexible volunteer opportunity for anyone interested in arts education or community outreach. Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis, so apply anytime.
Docents
Docents are active members of the Open Concept Gallery’s education department who lead interactive tours of gallery exhibitions. Docents work with a variety of people -university classes, school groups, teens, and art lovers from near and far – to explore and appreciate the connections between contemporary art and their own lives.
No experience or previous training is required, but all docents must have an active commitment to exploring contemporary art and promoting its ability to engage, provoke, and illuminate.

Unlimited free admission for one person for one year. Invitations for two to all exclusive members-only exhibition openings and previews. Invitations to special members-only programs. Advance notice and discounts for all educational programs, workshops, and lectures.
