Open Concept Gallery is conveniently located in downtown Grand Rapids near several parking structures and hotels. The historical building housing the gallery is situated just two blocks from Monroe St. and is close to several dining establishments.

The interesting architecture and rich woodwork create a warm, sophisticated atmosphere. The high arches and decorated ceilings offer a unique and elegant space for any special occasion. The gallery can be configured in a variety of ways, providing ample room and a barrier-free location to hold your next party or meeting.

    FAQ

    What are the gallery hours?

    The Open Concept Gallery is open Monday-Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekend hours are dependent on the events that are scheduled in the gallery. It is recommended that an appointment be made before visiting the gallery.

    Is there parking available near the gallery?

    The Open Concept Gallery is located between two parking structures, the Ottawa and Monroe Street ramps. Parking is open to the public in these structures. Parking is also available on the street.

    Is smoking allowed in the gallery?

    The Open Concept Gallery does not permit smoking anywhere on the premises.

    Is the gallery handicapped accessible?

    Yes, the entrance to the Open Concept Gallery is barrier-free. Upon entering the building there is an elevator that reaches the gallery.

    Does the gallery offer catering services?

    The Open Concept Gallery has contracts with several approved caterers. It is beneficial to both the gallery and our clients to have a preferred list of caterers. Having a select list of caterers who know the facility well helps to provide you with a smoothly executed event.

    Are there restrictions for decorations in the gallery?

    Candles are not allowed in the Open Concept Gallery. No decorations may be nailed or taped to the wood or the walls. Helium balloons, confetti, bubbles, etc. are not permitted. Flower petals may be used on tabletops only.

    Is AV equipment provided?

    The Open Concept Gallery does not provide any audio or visual equipment.
    If you have contracted out a DJ, speaker system, projector, or other piece of equipment, they may be a part of your event.
